Saying Goodbye to 2013..

A Farewell to 2013: Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart to those who took time out of their busy lives to send me text messages, FB greetings, phone calls and Birthday shout outs yesterday...I truly felt the love and appreciate them all so much. 2013 was another good year, I was truly blessed to have met some amazing people, improved my relationships with those that mean most to me and p...robably even lost friendships which I have had for years, but life goes on and people change. 2013 had its ups and downs, definitely more good than bad, but I'm ready to see what 2014 has in store and what blessings God has in store. Cheers 2013, thanks for a fabulous year. Everyone please be safe tonight and enjoy this last day of 2013!! Bring it on 2014!! I AM READY for you! Lots of love to you all for the New Year.

My blogger fans, thanks for an amazing year.. I hope to make its as a resolution to blog more, but let's cheers for 2014...I look forward to another fabulous year.

Hello Holidays!!

Happy Holidays!! It's already that time for the Christmas Season and to embrace another New Year.

This year will be a different Christmas as my husband and I are spending the holiday apart for the first time in 7 years...I have been an emotional wreck without him here as he went to Cleveland to do some work and spend time with family and friends before coming back home to spend me turning another year older and wishing the New Year together....3 whole weeks apart will be the longest that we have been apart, but lucky for me I will hopefully get to experience a snowy Christmas when I go visit him in a couple of weeks....Slowly counting down the days, but I will be keeping myself busy by having lots of much needed girl time and hanging with friends....The weather doesn't feel like it's almost Christmas as its been rainy and reaching high in the 70's..Seriously!! I am truly missing my booespecially this time of year, but I know our reunion will be worth it and will happen soon enough....

My house is currently not decorated with anything Christmas, there is really no point as its just me and the fur baby...It's times like these that I wish I had a  human child to be able to enjoy this holiday with and to keep me company. I  mean I love our fur baby, but there is only so much she can do to keep me entertained...I am looking forward to spending the holidays with friends at holiday parties and see family as its a joyous occasion when we get together to catch up on life and any events that have happened throughout the year....

I am NOT looking forward to turning another year older, it just depresses me but I am very blessed for all the blessings that God has given me and thankful for good health although since turning 30, something always happens to be physically. I hope this year I start the new year healthy with no sickness, injuries or life changing events.  I hope all of my blogger friends had a great Thanksgiving and got to spend it with those they love the most...let's bring on the holidays with open arms and embrace the last few weeks of 2013!! Cheers to another holiday season.

It's Fall Y'All

Well I skipped a whole season without blogging, but the summer was a little gloomy and not as hot.
We had lots of rainfall in the months of June and July, August felt more like summer so the Labor Day weekend was a perfect time to end the summer.
This summer was actually one of the better summers we have had, Lake Lanier became our second home so we made lots of "boating committee friends" is what I like to call them. Also, this summer I got to cross a couple of things off my bucket list: I ran my first 5K to support the family of Tripp Halstead and I went tubing down the river, one of these experiences was better than the other one.
We were fortunate to develop a great friendship with our friend Dave who practically lived on the lake just about every weekend, he has become one of our closest friends and we have appreciated him for letting us hang out with him this past summer. Sleeping on a boat on the weekend became a habit to us, I was able to sleep peacefully on some nights.  Sunset Cove after dark becomes "Club Buckhead" on the water, lots of crazy people, loud music and clothing would sometimes be optional. It was definitely worth people watching, but I met the most interesting and amazing people. Last month, we took a short trip to Ohio to visit the family and to celebrate Mama Heidi's bday with her, it was technically supposed to be a surprise but that kinda got ruined, either way she was more than thrilled to see us both. I am truly blessed to have in-laws that love me as much as I love them and who accept me no matter what.

A couple of weeks ago, I was invited to go down to Destin to celebrate one of my good friends bachelorette party. It was a girls weekend that I truly needed and it was such a blast. Look at the pictures below:
My friendships with some of these girls is something I cherish wholeheartedly, they keep me sane and always bring laughter in my life. The times I cherish with them are priceless and I wouldn't trade them for the world, having the best girlfriends makes me happy.

The theme was WIGGED OUT, it was fun being a different person for one night.

Love these girls to the moon and back.

Now it's the season of FALL, which means Football Season has officially started and the weather starts getting a little cooler, boot season. I love this time of year as the leaves start to change, but sad that the year is just going by so fast. Lots of events and things to look forward to as well as house projects as one of them is my dream of finally getting wood floors-woo hoo! We can't wait to see the dramatic change and to get rid of that drastic carpet. I hope that my blogger fans haven't missed me too much, I hope to stay on the blogging world as often as I can. Happy Fall Y'All!!

Happy Almost 4th of July!

Happy July! This means that the year is half way over because usually after the 4th of July, the year flies by pretty quickly.

We have had a pretty busy summer, the hubby and I are quite active in our extracurricular activites: softball and tennis.
Both his softball teams are doing really well this season and both my tennis teams are doing good as well. My mixed doubles team is currently in 2nd place and this weekend we happen to be playing the 1st place team, I want this win soo bad I can taste it. I really, really want our team to win the division so I can collect bag tag #4 and jump our way up to playoffs with hopes of making it to City Finals-that would be AMAZE-Balls!! My USTA team is currently in 3rd place, we played one of the top teams this past weekend and won 2 out of 3 matches but didn't get a point as USTA scoring system is quite different than ALTA. Thank goodness we get a week off for the holiday.

But on to another topic: A couple of weeks ago, the hubby and I had an in dept conversation about children. As some people know we are going on year 2 in trying to conceive. In my mind, I have come to the realization that this may never happen for us and I have learned to accept it. We also talked about not wanting to lose all this freedom we have now, we can go out to the lake and party with our friends anytime we want without having to worry about who's going to watch our child and also the luxury of traveling whenever we feel like it plus getting to sleep in late. As much as we love our friends kids, its great to know that we can give them back whenever they start to get fussy or tired. In my mind, I know that we will become parents one day, but one thing is for sure that when we reach the age of 35 if we havent brought a child into this world or conceived a child, our dreams of having children will come to an end. We will just cherish the moments that we have with our friends kids as they all have a special place in our hearts and we enjoy watching them all grow up.

I hope that all of you have a happy and safe 4th of July, till next time blogger fans.

Hello Suummmer! Well Sort of!!

It's finally starting to feel like summer after all the little cold snaps we had. It's only the beginning to the start of summer and we are just super busy. I have dedicated my time on Mixed Doubles and USTA tennis which occur on both Saturday and Sunday plus practices on Tuesday and Thursday, it's definitely exhausting but such a great workout...4 days a week of tennis keeps me busy. Hubby has started his summer softball season playing on 2 different teams which play on Monday and Wednesday with practices on Friday. This is also the season when hubby gets super busy with work and the time where we hardly see each other but only on the weekends..So any "alone time" we get is limited to only the weekends, but it's what we have to deal with every year during this time. Being at the lake is one of our favorite activities to do, it relaxes us and gives us time to just wind down and chill out. I'm not a fan of humidity and bugs so I try to avoid hanging outside unless its necessary, but when outdoor activites occur I have to be either on the tennis court or some type of water so that I can get a tan.

We are slowly working on some house projects, we got brand new vinyl windows a couple of weeks ago as well as new insulation with cool new AC gadget called the NEST. We love our new windows and can definitely feel a difference with the air flow in the house, the NEST is soo amazing, it sets the temperature when we are at home, away and at night so I'm excited to see how much money we will be saving when the energy bill comes. We can also control the temperature on our phone if we ever go out of town so its soo convienent. Our plans for home renovation include getting wood floors in our kitchen, finishing up the painting in the dining room, living room and family room, start painting the bedrooms and the bathrooms, build a "outdoor garage" so that hubby can finally move his business to our place of residence and the list just goes on and on...Home ownership is definitely expensive, but it's worth every penny once we finish up our projects.  Hope that you all are having a great start to your summer so far, I hope to be blogging more often throughout the summer, stay tuned!

Wedding #1 2013-Hilton Head, SC

Hello blogger fans,

I hope that all my fans are doing well, but its been a busy month since I last blogged...2 new babies have been born in our circle of friends since this last blog..Sweet Layla and Kamden Jax (KJ) who are just simply precious.

Tomorrow we head to Hilton Head, SC to attend our friends Brant and Christina's wedding..This couple is truly meant to be, such good people with great hearts and we couldn't be more excited to celebrate their special day in the beautiful city of Hilton Head...

This marks the beginning of 3 weddings that we will be attending in 2013...We are blessed to have people in our life who consider us such a huge part of their lives when we get invited to weddings..It's really great to see the abundance of love, not just for the couple but with their families and friends....Weddings are sometimes emotional from the first dance with the bride and groom, father/daughter dance, mother/dance and of course the speeches from the MOH, best man and father of the bride...It's also a good time to reunite with friends who you haven't seen in a while and make new friends that sit at your table..We are looking forward to a weekend getaway to hang out with friends and have some R&R...I wil post pictures soon after the amazing weekend...stay tuned!

2 Years of Wedded Bliss...

Today marks our 2nd wedding anniversary...Time truly does fly by, it seems just like yesterday we were professing our love to 170 of our closest friends and family on a beautiful Spring Day....Being married to my incredible husband has been a blessing, he truly is my soul mate, the person who can always brighten my day, my best friend and all other things that God provided for me when it came to him finding me the perfect man....Marriage definitlely is not easy, it's got its ups and downs, but one thing my husband and I always try to do is COMMUNICATE whether its by phone, text, email and one-on-one conversation. We have both realized communication is one of the major factors when it comes to a marriage, without it the marriage can suffer...It's a good thing that him and I like to talk a lot because our marriage would be boring....We are looking forward to some R&R at the beach this weekend to re-connect and just relax...Going out of town for us give us time to get away from reality and to just be together while we still have time to be a duo before we bring babies into this world...I'm really excited to see what this next year of marriage will bring us...Cheers to another year of marriage and thank you so much for those who have greeted us Happy Anniversary via facebook, We appreciate all the constant love and support!!

Here's one of my favorite wedding pictures, this was taken during the veil and cord part of our ceremony.

Decade 30!!

This new glorious decade of 30 has not treated me good physically at all....When I turned 30, I strained my right shoulder playing tennis, putting me out of tennis for about 10 weeks.
I turned 31 a month ago, got sick with the flu and am battling the last strands of bronchitis....I mean seriously!!

When I was in my 20's, my body  did not go through all these dramatic incidents..my immune system was glorious as I hardly ever got sick and I could be physically fit without having to worry about pulling muscles, breaking bones, etc.

As much as I'm happy that I can officially say I'm in my 30's..my body seems to be falling apart, lots more aches and pains with a lot harder time in losing weight which makes my metabolism not as high as it used to be.
Mentally my mind knows that it's another year older, though sometimes I tend to have moments where I forgot things. I have no complains and am proud when people are shocked to learn my actual age when they tell me I dont look a day older than 25 :-)..It's quite flattering and I have these filipino genes to thank for making me age well. I definitely can't eat all the delicious food like I used to and feel guility as it seems to make me gain weight. As much as I hate working out, I have to force myself too so that I dont become a couch potatoe and can keep my weight under control.
I mean there are pros and cons to being in your 30's but you definitely need to embrace it....I feel that I continue to learn a lot every year that I get older. I know that once I have children in the picture, I will learn so much more about life and know how to appreciate the little things.
For now however, decade 30 is not soo bad and I feel now I'm much wiser than I was when i was in my wild days of decade 20!
Cheers to decade 30!

Happy 2013!!

Happy 2013!! I hope that all of you had an amazing New Year celebrating with your loved ones. I want to apologize for just getting to post my first official post for 2013, but I was recovering from the flu which hit like a ton of bricks New Years week so I was miserable for at least 5 days, but I'm happy to report that I'm feeling better and have gone back to normal rountine...This year I have no New Years resolutions as I feel keeping them wont do me any justice.
However, I have started the New Year off right by starting Zumba Fitness core and I have to say I love it as it has much better music than the regular Zumba...You can focus more on your core plus have a little cardio in the mix if needed, it's my newest obsession...Not doing any special diets, but definitely trying to eat healthier.....3 days  a week of working out will help me get ready for March as Hubby and I will be planning our annual anniversary get away.
I have faith that 2013 will be an amazing year full of some possible scheduled trips which will be good for my soul as traveling is one of the best medicines :-)
Plans for 2013 are to do a little bit of renovations on the house, still work on having a baby (this is on my low priority list), spend more time with my loved ones and be successful at work as much as possible.
It's the year of spontanenity and new adventures, which I'm ready to face head on and I look forward in seeing what this new year has to offer..
Did you guys make any New years resolutions?
What are your hopes and dreams for 2013??
I would love to know.....check ya later blogger fans.
