Happy Almost 4th of July!

Happy July! This means that the year is half way over because usually after the 4th of July, the year flies by pretty quickly.

We have had a pretty busy summer, the hubby and I are quite active in our extracurricular activites: softball and tennis.
Both his softball teams are doing really well this season and both my tennis teams are doing good as well. My mixed doubles team is currently in 2nd place and this weekend we happen to be playing the 1st place team, I want this win soo bad I can taste it. I really, really want our team to win the division so I can collect bag tag #4 and jump our way up to playoffs with hopes of making it to City Finals-that would be AMAZE-Balls!! My USTA team is currently in 3rd place, we played one of the top teams this past weekend and won 2 out of 3 matches but didn't get a point as USTA scoring system is quite different than ALTA. Thank goodness we get a week off for the holiday.

But on to another topic: A couple of weeks ago, the hubby and I had an in dept conversation about children. As some people know we are going on year 2 in trying to conceive. In my mind, I have come to the realization that this may never happen for us and I have learned to accept it. We also talked about not wanting to lose all this freedom we have now, we can go out to the lake and party with our friends anytime we want without having to worry about who's going to watch our child and also the luxury of traveling whenever we feel like it plus getting to sleep in late. As much as we love our friends kids, its great to know that we can give them back whenever they start to get fussy or tired. In my mind, I know that we will become parents one day, but one thing is for sure that when we reach the age of 35 if we havent brought a child into this world or conceived a child, our dreams of having children will come to an end. We will just cherish the moments that we have with our friends kids as they all have a special place in our hearts and we enjoy watching them all grow up.

I hope that all of you have a happy and safe 4th of July, till next time blogger fans.
